Now Serving Bulletproof Coffee
Over the past year or so I have heard about and had friends talk about Bulletproof Coffee and how The Bakery “has really got to start serving it”. I’ve never been one to jump on passing trends and the idea of replacing my morning breakfast with a special coffee seemed insane to my food loving self. All that being said I recently tried my first cup of Bulletproof coffee and fell in love. Typically I am a coffee and cream gal. I like to save my sugar intake for more delectable items such as cake and cookies. The Bulletproof coffee is essentially a combination of grass fed butter, MCT oil (found in coconut oil) and hot coffee. Put it all together in a blender and voila, you have a frothy creamy beverage that tricks you into thinking you’re near a beach somewhere in the Caribbean.
Now like with anything there are multiple opinions circulating the internet on whether or not Bulletproof coffee is indeed good for you. I don’t feel the need to get into all the details of it because my beliefs lie in the idea ‘everything in moderation’. So with that a few times a week I have been enjoying a cup of Bulletproof coffee. I savour every last frothy drop of it and I feel like my brain gets a little more of a get up and go boost.
The Bakery has sourced an organic grass fed ghee combined with raw organic virgin coconut oil. You can add this fancy elixir to our regular organic brewed coffee or take it up a notch and treat yourself to an Americano. However you try it, I recommend that you do indeed try it. See what all the hype is about and then make your own decision.
